Great game! Would love to see more games from you and/or a sequel to this!
I cant believe how bad the virtual controls are, it literally renders the game unplayable
Love the artstyle and graphics. It was very enjoyable to play. Look forward to playing Gunman Clive 2
I really want to like this game, and Im not the first to say but the controls are pretty awful.
This game is addicting and the theme is great , you cant find games like this anymore , although the game itself is fun , the game is not very long ( but it is challenging ) also the controls are not very accurate , beacuse you are playing it touchscreen it is hard to play because the controls are very small and its hard to move your fingers , right and left on the control pannel . Other than that I LOVE THIS GAME. Iv downloaded it multiple times and continue to play this . Every time I get a new electronic device I get this game first
I wish here were more games like this one. Why? Because it is very entertaining yet its not one of those overly involved, part-time jobs kind of games. There isnt a learning curve, the controls are great, and its simple to play, yet its still very challenging and keeps you wanting to play time and time again. Plus the arcade style/cartoon kind of graphics are excellent. Very fun game. This game and Cavemans Quest (very different games but both my favorite) are the only two games I play for iOS after years of downloading hundreds of catchy games and becoming bored of them.
Controls are unreliable and fail often. Compared to other ios platformers like potatoman, the buttons feel unresponsive. In a game with so much platforming the controls need to be much tighter to make it fun. Dying senda you back all the way to the beginning of each level, which is excessive. Style is charming at first, but quickly becomes bland. The enemies dont make sense. Why is a bunny attacking you on the roof of a saloon? Why do I care? Enemies can shoot in many directions but you can only shoot in one. Feels like a game design class project. Very disappointing. I want my money back.
Dont get me wrong, I LOVE this game! From the novel story, the slightly challenging levels, and the nostalgic bosses, I think this game is almost perfect. Although I disagree with a lot of the bad reviews here because I ADORE the controls, I still think the game will be improved with MFi support. Imagine playing this with a controller, it will be the best platformer in the app store. Just my 2 cents.
This is a very fun old school style platformer/shooter. A lot of the other reviews say the controls are bad but it is really just a challenging (in a good way) game to play. Its all about timing, as it is with most old school platformers. My only complaints are the boss difficulty is somewhat unbalanced (first two were way harder than the others), and that it is a very short game. For $2 I expect something a little bit longer, or at least an option to change the difficulty setting. This essentially eliminates replay value IMO. But if you are a fan of old school platformers you will enjoy this and it is definitely worth a play.
